Karan was born to a highly respectable orthodox Brahmin parents in a remote village called Gorur in Karnataka, a southern India state. Right from his child hood Karan was a very disciplined, studious and god fearing person. He migrated to city of Bangalore to pursue his higher education. He did his bachelor degree in philosophy and went on to complete masters with distinction. He got appointed as professor in a reputed college in Bangalore. He got married to a very shy, middle class Brahmin girl named Radha, who was a typical south Indian home maker. In his spare time Karan use to teach vedhas/upanishads and was always advocating theory of Karma to his disciples.

Why People Love Crime Series

It seems that all television offers today is reality TV and crime series, but what is the reason for this? Both are extremely popular and have an incredibly large fan base, but what is the real appeal of these sorts of shows? When it comes to crime series in particular, there are a few different reasons believed to explain their overall popularity.

Why We Love Them

Crime series such as Crime Story and Wiseguy have reached heights of incredible popularity, and there are several reasons thought to be behind this. The most major is that people are interested in general by crime and how crimes are solved, and so shows such as CSI, for instance, which give us a detailed account of the steps that are taken to catch the bad guys really get our interest.

The Birth of The American Detective Story

It has been said that the American detective story began sometime in the later nineteenth century. Many critics give credit to an author named Anna Katherine Green for starting this American version of what was already an interest in Europe. Shortly after the budding of what we call the beginning of American detective stories, the realization was that even the first American detective story was influenced in some way by Europe. Whether it was influenced by one of the earlier novels such as Collins, or even by one of Doyle's Sherlock Holmes tales, it is uncertain, but it was almost surely derived from Europe. The plots and themes all point to the European influence and rules.

Kiss Me, Kill Me by Ann Rule - True Crime Book Review

This book has ten true crime stories included. Kiss Me, Kill Me is the longest story with 128 pages and is about a young pregnant mother who gets killed in her home. The other stories "The Postman Only Killed Once", What's Love Got To Do With It? ", "Old Flames Can Burn", The Lonely Hearts Killer", The Captive Bride", "Bad Blind Date", The Highway Accident", You Kill Me...Or I'll Kill You" and "Where Is Julie? " are shorter stories and average about 25 pages each. The common thread in each of these stories and probably why Ann Rule used them all for this crime file is they are all crimes against women and involved a certain element of trust by the victims for the killer.

True Crime Books

True crime books are all true stories of actual crimes. Some of the crimes are either highly publicized as in the case of Caysee Anthony and some of the crimes are only publicized via books. These writers are a special breed of people who use their talent to bring the stories to their readers with intensive information usually on the backgrounds and childhoods of the main characters in the story, details of the crime itself, the investigation and how the perpetrator was caught, the actual court case and other relevant details pertaining to each true story.

Seasoned readers of true crimes have over time established their likes and dislikes of what they prefer to read about in detail. Some prefer a lengthy and detailed investigation while some would prefer the court case to be more detailed. Female crime readers usually prefer more emphasis on the background and childhoods of the main characters so that they can engage in the psychological profile rather.

Why I Think it is a Crime to be single

It is a crime to be single in the world today. You can imagine about the climate and the weather patterns and you can bear in mind that the nights are colder than ever. You must have been without a person in your life for a very long time and you must make sure that the world is heading towards the direction you want so that more than ever before you can change into what matters. You must have had somebody in your life where you had enjoyed every moment and you did not care whether the nights were colder or not. You must have thought that ‘my single hood is a thing of the past’ and what you have is enough to make you into who you are.

The world is a place you need to make things happen and have something that will undoubtedly make you into that individual who makes sense of life and things that matter. The weather patterns are changing and even with global warming the nights are never warmer. They are still in perpetual torturous mission in the life of singles and lucky are those who occasion dating. You must not forget that your life is in your hands and you got to think in the lines of ‘my single is out there’ where you need to open the door of your heart so that the person can come in and transform your life.

A Journey in to Hong Kongs Crime Fighting Days

If you have ever watched those old movies on Hong Kong, then you would know that the Hong Kong Police seriously had their work cut out. Trying to save innocent children from the clutches of man eating tigers, high speed boat chases to nab sea pirates and going incognito to infiltrate drug cartels were everyday duties for them. The history of the Hong Kong Police Department and the crime stories of the country are chronicled at the Police Museum that is situated at the former Wan Chai Gap police station at the Peak.

The predecessor of the Hong Kong Police was the Police Historical Records Committee which was set up in 1964, this committee had collected a significant amount of artifacts pertaining to the police force which necessitated the setting up of a museum to house them.
